(2)Purple Ribbon(Click here to obtain cheap purple ribbon)
(3)Scissor
(4)Glue Weapon
Instructions:
Step 1. Find some good two-bar metal Goody slide barrettes.
Step 2. Cut two 1-yard pieces of thin,1/8 " wide ribbon. Use grosgrain or silk, but always keep both in exactly the same fabric family members,i.e. two satin ribbons or two grosgrain ribbons. Pick your shades with care.
Step 3. Sew the tips of the ribbons along with a few tight stitches.
Step 4. Put the joined ribbon ends associated with the curved clasp in the barrette. Pull each ribbon to one side, while keeping the meeting reason for the middle.
Step 5. Then tuck one ribbon through the centre opening and pull towards the other side. Follow up with the other ribbon. You're BRAIDING with two ribbons. Easy!
Step 6. Make sure you not bundle your ribbons. You want even coverage of the metal bars with minimum bunching and wrinkling. A little overlapping is ok. Work towards you on straight down. Enjoy the herringbone meshing of colors. Baby pinkish, ice glowing blue, baby pinkish, ice azure.
Step 7. When you make it to the end from the barrette, knot the ribbons securely. If you're not using beads, then just knot the ends to ensure they are from fraying. If you ARE using beads, which I strongly suggest, string them on the stops and knot to keep them in place.
